Housed in a captivating environment this old barbers shop and more recently a curiosity shop has been transformed!
Its original house, once an abode to a long gone resident shop keeper, is now an extension of the frontstore and expands the retail gift and jewellery space into different rooms of altered personalities.
Seek out an unusual gift, a re-invented house ornament or have fun with our novelty offerings. You can choose an artprint (or an original) and look at our jewellery for the walls - or for yourself!
You are welcome too to just visit and “read our walls” as you walk through The HallSpace. Take in “The Vivid Red” – a vibrant and striking exhibition from artist, Scott in The Cracked Gallery and then pass back fleetingly through time in The Ephemera Room – which will delight you with its reworked original wallpaper and unusual treasures!
We’ll introduce you to the flair of Fashion & Graphic artist Jan Jervis with her selection of wallprints and artcards, the Photographer Sam Jervis showcasing her dramatic fashion shots, and the works of a young emerging artist Ali J, with the stunning illustrations of “her girls” on textiles and wall prints.
Discover jewellery artists - Pamela Kenward, specializing in corrugated metals and contemporary chainmaille techniques, Lan Chung who works with the diversity of press studs and other such fascinating materials and Monkeyshine – the resident jewellery designing monkey - who all come together to combine their ranges and talents with the Castaway range from New York and a wonderful mix of jewellery imports.
